Monthly Favorites

October Favorites.

Is it only me that loves having a nose on other peoples blog’s and YouTube channels to see what they are using and loving every month? I love it as it opens my eyes to products that i haven’t seen before. Its not good to my bank balance wanting to try all new things but it’s exciting and 9/10 i absolutely love the products that i have tried.

I have been thinking for a while now if i wanted to start doing monthly favorites but i always decided not to without any real reason behind it, so i have decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. I’m not sure if i will do one every month or how long i will do it for but i am 100% going to give it a go.

This month i have mainly planner supplies that i have loved using. Due to it being my birthday on the 29th of this month i decided to hold off on craft bits due to i know i will be getting some for my birthday from my mum.

I have used most of these products for about a month now and i can generally say i love them all and going to buy some more! If anyone has any suggestions of products that they love and want me to try please comment bellow! 🙂

Right so onto my This months favorites:

Sprinkle washi tape and Mickey mouse washi tape: I was checking my ebay purchase list as i was checking delivery estimates when i saw that a seller that i brought some washi tape off before, was having a sale. I was having a snoop when i came across  the sprinkle washi. I feel in love with the colours in the tape and decided to buy it. Before i did i was having a look at the other washi tapes that the seller had for sell. This is when i came across the mickey washi tape. I’m a big lover or Disney. Growing up i had all the books and teddy’s of all the Disney characters. Anyway as soon as i say it i knew i had to buy it as well. I couldn’t get a good picture of the Mickey washi tape but it says Magic,Memories, Laugh with mickeys hand, shoes and Minnie’s bow.  Altogether both washi tapes cost £2.58 (£1.29 each).

Set of 5 washi tapes: This favorite was introduced to me by my penpal Alycia, from Sweetplanning101. She put a photo up on Instagram of a ebay haul which included the 5 washi tapes. I asked her about them and i couldn’t believe it that they were £1.99. She gave me a link to them and i checked them out. There from china which i didn’t really mind as i don’t mind waiting 30 days for that price. The only thing with this product is you can’y actually choose which washi tapes you receive. It’s like a blind box, you get sent 5 at random. I quite liked this because it was a surprise when they came but i know its not some peoples cup of tea. I recently brought another 5 and i did receive one washi tape that was the same but i didn’t mind as lucky it was one of my most favorites and i can always sell them if i receive more then one.

Tesco pouch: In the beginning of the year i saw on the planner groups that Tesco had come out with a pouch pencil case. I saw pictures of how everyone used it and there set up and i loved it! I really wanted one but unfortunately i haven’t got a large Tesco near me, just metro ones and they didn’t stock them. However a lovely lady from UK Planner Addicts was selling one and i managed to quickly snap it up. When it came it was even better then what i hoped for. I have space for my set of pens,a sharpie and scissors in the zip pocket, and plenty of space for sticky notes and stickers in the other 2 pockets. Its thin so its perfect for shoving in my bag with my Filofax when im out and about.

Christmas paperclips: If you saw my bog post from a few weeks ago then you would have seen the amazing Christmas paperclips from Donna. I have been setting up my Christmas planner this week and i love how they look in my planner. They will look amazing with my Gold Saffiano that i will be using during the Christmas time! I just cannot wait to use them all the time! Hurry up Christmas :p 2 Months to go!!! Hehe.

Handbag organiser: If you read my blog post from last Sunday then you would have seen how i organise my planner supplies on my desk using a handbag organiser from ebay. I just love how it has a place for everything and it also has handles so i can carry it around with me in the house depending on where i am going to plan. Its perfect for holding all my essentials and i know they are all in the same place so it is easier and quicker for me to plan. To see more information on the handbag organiser and how i am using it as a planner caddy/orgsaniser please click here to see the blog post.

Black Tassel Bag: I have been using a lot of bags recently and i just cannot find one that i really like or that is big enough to hold my Filofax and other bits that i need when out and about. That as all in till i was given this black tassel bag from a family friend. It’s the perfect size, it can hold my A5 Filofax, my Pennybridge Filofax, a pencil case, a bottle of drink and a sandwich. Im currently into handbags rather then shoulder bags which is a surprise as i have always preferred shoulder bags so im hands free.

bag

Duck Tape: I never knew that you could get different colourd duck tape! I was in the range the other day and they had a massive stand and there was every colour in the rainbow there, even patterns! I was actually in the range looking for something to use to cover a binder that i found in the attic. I was looking for sticky back plastic but thought that duck tape would work better due to it being in strips rather then me having to cut it down. There will be a blog post soon about the D.I.Y folder that i have made to store my stickers in. I recently wrote a blog post about sticker organisation. To see this click here.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, I know it’s a bit different. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it and if you would like me to carry on with these types of post. As i said it is just a trial at the moment. If anyone has any questions comment below!

I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Planner caddy/desk organiser!

I think i have found planner organiser heaven!! I was doing my daily nose on UK Planner Addicts Facebook page and i came across a post talking about how people organise their planner supplies. One lady said that she used a handbag organiser and puts all her most used things in there and keeps it on her desk. The lady shared pictures and i fell in love. I then decided to have a look on eBay and i was so surprised at how cheap they are!! I decided to buy one and try it out as the price was so cheap that i had too.

The organisers come in many different colours but i decided on grey/yellow because it goes with everything haha. The prince including postage was £2.89. It arrived within 3 days and when it came i was so excited to set it up and put all my planner essentials in it. Handbag organisers are amazing to use as a planner “caddy” because it has loads of different sized pockets that are perfect for stationery.

All about washi!

Ever since i started planing, i cannot get enough of it. There are so many uses for washi tape. D.I.Y’s, Planning, Decorating, Journalling, and so much more. Pinterest is the best place to look at the different ways that you can use it. For people who may not know, Washi tape is paper tape that has patterns on it that is easily removable.

Washi tape is amazing to use when planning because its a great way to block off days or times in your spread so you can visually see it. I also use it to make events stand out that i may need to see quickly. Due to being a college student i use washi in my speads alot as i have placement days. I use washi to mark those days and colour code them. You can get washi is different sizes; Skinny washi, Regular washi and Large “packing tape” sized washi.

An example of how i use washi tape to mark of events over a period of time.

Due to me using washi in my every day planning i have accumulated a lot of it in a short period of time. I have had a few people ask me or i have seen posts from new planner addicts asking where to buy washi in the UK. The US has an amazing variety of washi tape whereas in the UK washi tape can be hard to find.

I currently have 65 different washi tapes; 30 regular sized washi tapes, 23 skinny washi and 12 deco tapes. Today i am going to let you know where i got my washi tapes and add links where ever possible. 12170589_1230344110314653_802290885_n

I will be going from left to right starting from the bottom.

I hope this post has helped you, i apologies for it being all over the place, If you have any questions please comment down below or email zoeplans@outlook.com.

Reviews

Christmas Paperclips Review.

I’m not sure if anyone else is but iv been in a real Christmas mood lately, Christmas songs stuck in my head, seeing loads of Christmasy planner stuff going on sale.

2 Weeks ago i was having a nose through the planner groups and i came across this post where a lovely lady called Donna was selling Christmas paperclips. I fell in love instantly. I haven’t got Christmas paperclips yet so i got rather excited. I inboxed her and ended up buying the snowman and the reindeer paperclip. If i am correct i think i was the second person to buy paperclips from her. She is newly making them and im not sure if these are a test run but there amazing! I think i paid £1.54 all together. As i said she is newly making these, she hasn’t got a shop up and running yet but she has told me she will be soon. Once she does i will link her Facebook page to the blog.

Clips and note

Shipping was really fast if im honest, Came within the week. I love it when things come quick as im a inpatient person haha. Anyway when i opened the package and looked at them i was so happy. They are so much better in person then they were in the photo. I didn’t even know that was possible haha. The snowman and the reindeer are made out of wood and stuck on to the paperclip with hot glue i think, and finished off with a piece of ribbon which is hiding the glue. The star is made out of metal and is glued on the same as the other paperclips.

Compared to paperclips I’ve brought before, these felt really sturdy. usually im sacred to use them as i think they might break in use due to being fragile but i can safely say i will get lots of use out of these! I cannot wait till end end of November/early December so i can use these paperclips. There so beautiful and i cannot recommend them and Donna enough.

I hope you have enjoyed this review and love the look of this product as much as i do. If you have any questions leave them down below or email me at zoeplans@outlook.com. If you have any questions for Donna leave them down below and if she doesn’t see them i will contact her for you.

Have a lovely weekend

Organization

Sticker Organisation Ideas

I have used several methods over the last year, depending on whether I wanted mobile storage or had a craft room. I have found that i’m running out of ideas to organize my stickers that work. Some work for a while but then i get to many stickers and they don’t work for me anymore. I have found that sticker organization varies between people and what works for them may not work for you.

Some of the sticker organisation types i have tried are:

* Sticker folders:You can buy sticker folders with sheets a bit like project life inserts. They are expensive but they work.

*Concertina/Expandable folders: I’ve seen concertina folders used a lot, I used this method for a good few months. It worked well for me but the more stickers i had,the harder it was to find the stickers that i was looking for in the compartments. I also found that it got really bulky so it got hard to close the folders. I ended up having 4 little folders from Wilkinsons until i gave up using this method.

* The box with expendable D.I.Y inserts: This method is exactly like the Concertina folders but in a box instead. This was the first method that i tried. It worked for about a week until i brought the concertina folders. My problem was that i had to D.I.Y and make the expandable inserts to hold the stickers and i just didnt have the time. I found this method by watching a YouTube Video showing how to make them. The link to that is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiJeMS5fd3E&list=WL&index=2

* Folder with card stock in: I have seen people use a normal folder with card in it and using a strip of washi tape to stick a sticker sheet onto the card and then punch it in a Filofax or folder.

*Avery Insertable Folder Dividers: I saw this method and i loved it! Its so easy to organize your stickers into categories and then put the stickers into the flaps in the dividers. However, If you are in the UK you will struggle to find these *Sad face* You can buy then of amazon but on my student budget i cannot afford to buy a few packs of them with the shipping cost.

* A5 display folder: I’m currently using a A5 display folder from Amazon to store my stickers. I see loads of people using this method and loving it. I’m not sure if i like this method because the folder gets REALLY bulky. It wont really close without an elastic band holding it closed. I love how easy it is to look through and choose stickers but i just doesn’t look nice in my opinion.

I have still not found sticker organization peace and i’m not sure i ever will. However there is always methods to try out and test. I hope this post has helped you and given you more ideas on how to organize your stickers. If you have any questions or ideas of you own i would love to hear about them!
